A man has died after falling from a height in Plumstead on Monday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Herbert Road at 1.53pm on 26 October, where the man was found and treated at the scene.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We sent ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars, an incident response officer and paramedics from our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART).”
“We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.”
“Very sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Residents described a large emergency response in the area. One person said: “At least two ambulances and an incident response unit went past me, and a helicopter landed on the field.”
Very little else about the incident has been confirmed. The man’s age and identity have not been released, and it has not been stated where exactly he fell from, what caused the fall, or whether the death is being treated as suspicious. No police statement has been issued and no road closure has been confirmed.
London Streets will update this story if further details are released.
