Two lanes of the anticlockwise M25 have been closed near Enfield after a lorry caught fire, with motorists facing growing queues on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency services are at the scene near Waltham Abbey, where lanes one and two of four are shut between junctions 26 and 25, just before the Holmesdale Tunnel.
Traffic is queueing back towards junction 27 for the M11, and drivers on the opposite carriageway are also being delayed as onlookers slow to look at the incident. National Highways says there are currently no significant delays on the immediate approach, despite the ongoing disruption.
This is a developing story. Our live blog below is being updated with the latest information as it comes in.
