Three people have been taken to hospital after a crash on Kew Bridge on Sunday afternoon, with paramedics treating four people at the scene.
Emergency crews were called to the bridge, which carries the A205 over the Thames between Kew and Brentford, on Sunday 20 September. Ambulance crews, a clinical team manager, an incident response officer and an advanced paramedic practitioner attended alongside the Metropolitan Police and the London Fire Brigade.

We sent resources including ambulance crews, a clinical team manager, an incident response officer and an advanced paramedic practitioner. We treated four people and took three of them to hospital. A woman was discharged at the scene.

The conditions of the three people taken to hospital are not yet known.
Photographs from the scene showed several ambulances, police cars and fire engines on the bridge, with a cordon in place around the area. The A205 was closed in both directions following the incident, causing delays around Kew Bridge, before the road was later reopened.
One witness told the London Now website they had seen a police car chasing another vehicle towards the bridge, with both vehicles mounting the pavement and cycle lane. The witness also claimed to have heard police radio traffic reporting that an elderly couple had suffered neck injuries and that a suspect had been apprehended. These claims have not been confirmed, and the Metropolitan Police has been contacted for comment.
The closure added to a weekend of travel disruption across the capital, with several Tube and Overground lines shut for engineering works. Road safety on the capital’s roads has been under scrutiny, with 20mph speed limits more than tripling under Sadiq Khan.
