Police are appealing for help to find a 32-year-old man who has not been seen by his family for more than a year and is believed to have travelled to London.
Jean-Luc Quennell, who also reportedly goes by the name Farron, was reported missing to Police Scotland on 10 April this year. He was last seen by his family on 26 August 2025, and it is believed he travelled to London in November last year.
He is described as around 5ft 10in tall, of medium build, with dark hair. His family has said his appearance may have changed since the photo shared in the appeal was taken.
According to the family, he emailed in December last year after losing his phone. Other reports suggest he may have been seen in London in February this year.
In one appeal, a family member said: “It is unusual for him not to have any contact at all since then. He has not responded to emails and his friends have not seen him since February.”
Farron is known to frequent areas including Lewisham, Clapham, Streatham, Archway, Greenwich, Ladywell, Canary Wharf and Fulham. In his younger years, he reportedly frequented gay night venues such as G.A.Y and Heaven. His family said they “miss him very much”.
Sergeant Fiona Weir of Police Scotland said: “Enquiries have been carried out since to trace Jean-Luc since he was reported missing on Friday, 10 April, 2026 and are ongoing. We are now appealing for anyone with any information on his whereabouts to come forward and speak to us. We would also ask Jean-Luc to get in touch with officers or family and friends to let us know he is safe and well.”
Anyone with information has been asked to contact Police Scotland quoting reference 1174 of April 10, or the Metropolitan Police quoting reference 01/7681531/26.
