Three Eurostar trains from London St Pancras have been cancelled today as strike action disrupts services, with passengers urged to check their journeys before travelling.
Eurostar has issued several travel alerts affecting services, including trains operating through Paris Gare du Nord and the Dutch rail network. According to the operator’s live service updates, last updated at 9.13am this morning, the disruption includes technical issues at Paris Gare du Nord and traffic problems on the Dutch network.
The three cancelled trains on Thursday 5 November are listed as Eurostar 9004, Eurostar 9015 and Eurostar 9052. In its travel alert, Eurostar said: “Due to strike action on the Eurostar network, your train is cancelled. We’re so sorry for the disruption and any inconvenience caused. We understand how much this affects your travel plans, and we’re here to help you find the best way forward.”
Passengers who have booked on these services are encouraged to check Eurostar’s official travel advice for their available options.
In addition to the cancelled trains, Eurostar has reported delays at Paris Gare du Nord due to technical issues at the station. The operator has not specified in its published update how long the delays are expected to last or exactly which services are affected.
Passengers travelling through Paris are being reminded that ticket checks close before departure. For Eurostar Standard and Eurostar Plus passengers, ticket checks close 30 minutes before departure. For Eurostar Premier passengers, ticket checks close 15 minutes before departure. Travellers should continue to follow the instructions for their booked service, even if delays have been announced.
Further disruption has been observed on the Dutch rail network, where Eurostar said traffic issues are causing delays to services today. The operator has apologised to affected passengers but has not confirmed the expected duration of the disruption in its published alert. Passengers travelling to or from destinations in the Netherlands are advised to check their train’s status before setting off.
Separately, Eurostar has warned of a reduced timetable between London and Paris on selected weekends between October and December. Engineering works near Paris Gare du Nord are scheduled to take place across five weekends during this period, meaning fewer services will operate between London and Paris on affected dates. Passengers planning weekend journeys are encouraged to check the timetable before travelling.
Passengers travelling on Eurostar today are urged to check the operator’s official website for the latest information about their service. Those affected by cancellations should consult Eurostar’s travel alert and booking information for details of their options.
