A new boutique record store might just have become north London’s coolest charity shop — selling vintage vinyl, pre-loved instruments and music memorabilia, all for a good cause.
Second Spin opened on Junction Road in Archway on Monday, October 12, giving music fans a new place to dig through crates of records and CDs in search of hidden gems.
But this is a music shop with a difference: every penny of profit goes to the National Children’s Air Ambulance (NCAA).
Crate diggers are already enjoying the new boutique, which stocks music merchandise and memorabilia alongside vinyl and CDs. Local musicians have donated generously to the new shop.
The site has operated for almost a decade as a regular NCAA charity shop before being transformed into the first of a new concept store, complete with a fresh look.
For vinyl hunters in north London, it offers the thrill of the dig with the knowledge that each purchase helps keep the children’s air ambulance flying.
London Streets has been covering Eataly’s wine festival and the Mini London Marathon this week.
