Man taken to hospital after stabbing on A406 North Circular in Neasden

Published at 12:11pm | Updated: 4 November 2026 at 1:03pm

One lane is blocked on the A406 North Circular westbound after an emergency services incident, with police at the scene and traffic queueing.

The incident is between Staples Corner and Neasden Interchange. Officers are occupying lane one of three on the westbound carriageway, just around a bend from a traffic camera.

The circumstances surrounding the incident have not yet been confirmed. Drivers heading westbound through the area should expect delays and allow extra time while emergency services deal with the incident.

The North Circular is one of London’s busiest orbital routes, and even a single-lane closure at this section — where the road carries heavy flows between Staples Corner and Neasden — can quickly build queues back along the carriageway. Traffic is already queueing at the scene.

Update: The incident is now confirmed as a stabbing on the North Circular Road in Neasden. The London Ambulance Service was called at 10.34am, treated a man at the scene and took him to a local hospital. His condition has not been given. One lane remained blocked at 12.26pm between M1 Junction 1 at Staples Corner and the A4088 at Neasden Interchange, with traffic queueing westbound.

This is a developing story. Updates will follow as more information becomes available.
