A man has died after being hit by a train near West Hampstead station this morning.
Emergency services were called at around 7am on Monday, October 19, after the incident just outside West Hampstead Thameslink station.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. British Transport Police have said the death is not currently being treated as suspicious.
Trains were stopped at the station for around an hour following the incident, with knock-on delays expected to last until at least 11am, according to National Rail.
The process to inform the deceased’s next of kin is under way.
