Four people have been arrested after a drug raid on a property in Wembley suspected of being used to supply class A drugs.
Police executed a warrant at an address on Forty Lane on Monday, October 19, due to it being suspected of being linked to the supply and use of controlled drugs. A Territorial Support Group (TSG) police van was seen outside the property, along with several officers in the area.
Four people were arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs. Officers also seized a “substantial quantity” of suspected class A drugs, along with a number of electronic devices and cash.
Police Community Support Officer Nikolaos Tonas said: “This operation is a great example of breaking down barriers between teams and working collaboratively to tackle issues affecting our communities. By combining local neighbourhood knowledge with proactive support from TSG, officers were able to successfully target an address causing significant concern.”
“Drug dealing is often linked with violent crime and the exploitation of vulnerable people, and discarded drug equipment can be a health risk and counts as antisocial behaviour.”
The raid is the latest in a run of enforcement action across north and north-west London this month. It comes a day after a dramatic police operation in Edgware, where officers surrounded a van and tried to force their way inside with a crowbar, and follows a murder investigation in Enfield in which the Met released a CCTV image of a person detectives want to identify.
Residents with information are being encouraged to contact police. Anyone with concerns about drug dealing in their area can report it to the Met online or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
