What caused the incident, and whether anyone has been hurt, has not yet been confirmed. No reopening time has been given, and no further details about the emergency response have been released at this stage.

We will update this story as soon as more is known. In the meantime, road users are advised to allow extra time for journeys through Taunton Way and the surrounding streets in Stanmore.

Elsewhere in London, a separate emergency incident closed Blackstock Road in Finsbury Park, while Oxford Street went traffic-free for the first time on Monday.
