A heavy police presence has gathered on High Holborn in central London this afternoon, with officers seen swarming the area outside a cafe and a McDonald’s restaurant.
At least three marked Metropolitan Police vehicles — two cars and a van — were spotted parked along the busy road outside Holland & Barrett near 110 High Holborn, while groups of officers spoke to members of the public on the pavement. It is not yet known what prompted the response, though early reports suggest it may be linked to a protester.
