A man in his 40s is in hospital after being stabbed on Kilburn High Road, with police sealing off part of nearby West End Lane as their investigation got under way.
Officers were called at 4.42pm on Wednesday after reports of a stabbing on Kilburn High Road, NW6. They arrived with the London Ambulance Service to find the victim, who was taken to hospital. Police say they are still waiting for an update on his condition.
Update, Friday 2 October: The man in his 40s stabbed on Kilburn High Road remains in hospital, but police say his condition is now improving and his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing. No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing, with officers still hunting the suspect.
“Police were called to reports of a stabbing at 16:42hrs on Wednesday, 30 September in Kilburn High Road, NW6,” a Met Police spokesman said. “Officers attended the scene with the London Ambulance Service and located a man, in his 40s, he was taken to hospital. We await an update on his condition.”
A cordon remains in place on part of West End Lane while officers carry out their enquiries. No arrests have been made.
Witnesses reported seeing what appeared to be a trail of blood near the cordon — though police have not confirmed those accounts.
Detectives are asking anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage to call police on 101, quoting CAD 5249/30SEP26, or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
