Sidcup road shut both ways after crash as two bus routes divert

Published at 3:42pm

Green Lane in Sidcup is blocked in both directions after a crash, with two bus routes diverted and traffic moving slowly through the area.

The collision was first reported at around 3.26pm on Saturday, 7 November. The closure covers Green Lane between Shallons Road and Crockham Way. It is not yet known which vehicles were involved, or whether anyone was injured.

Bus routes 160 and 162 are diverted around the closure. Passengers travelling through Sidcup should allow extra time and check for updates before setting out, as the diversion is likely to add delays to journeys through the area this afternoon.

Green Lane runs through a residential part of Sidcup in the London Borough of Bexley. The closure comes on a busy Saturday afternoon, with shoppers and weekend traffic in the area.

This is a developing story. Follow the live updates below for the latest on the closure, the bus diversions and when the road reopens. We will update this page as more information becomes available — including which vehicles were involved, whether anyone was injured, and when Green Lane is expected to reopen.

Elsewhere this weekend, Southeastern services on the Hayes line are disrupted on Sunday, and Southern trains in Croydon are also affected.
