A man has died in a Wood Green house fire on Saturday night.
Firefighters were called to Granville Road at about 10.15pm following reports of a blaze at a two-storey terraced property.
A woman managed to get out of the house before crews arrived, but a man died at the scene.
The fire destroyed the entire first floor and half of the roof. Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were sent to the incident, bringing it under control by about 11.30pm.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the London Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police.
It follows other serious blazes across the capital in recent weeks, including a late-night flat fire in Kilburn which led to an arson arrest.
House fires have also caused major damage elsewhere in London, including a blaze that gutted a heritage home in Addiscombe and the fatal Neutron Tower fire in Poplar.
