Dollis Hill stabbing: 22-year-old man charged over Chapter Road daylight attack

Published at 9:50am

A 22-year-old man has been charged over a daylight stabbing on Chapter Road in Dollis Hill that left a 25-year-old man injured.

The incident happened at around 1.10pm on Saturday, October 17. The victim, a 25-year-old man, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Ahmed Abdaljalil, 22, of Milner Road in Medway, has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and grievous bodily harm with intent.

A Met spokesperson said: “He appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 19 and will next appear at Harrow Crown Court on Monday, November 16.”

“A 21-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of affray. He has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.”

We reported on the incident at the time — a man was taken to hospital after the Saturday afternoon stabbing — and the charge is a significant development in the case.

The case is now before the courts, which means reporting on the allegations is restricted by law. What can be said is that Abdaljalil is charged and will be dealt with through the normal court process in the coming weeks.
