A person has died after falling ill at Earl’s Court Underground station on Saturday evening.

British Transport Police said officers were called to the station at 6pm on 17 October following reports that a person had fallen ill.

A BTP spokesperson said: “Officers attended alongside paramedics, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”

Transport for London said one platform remained closed until 8pm while emergency services dealt with the incident.
