A reward of up to £20,000 has been put up for information that could finally bring answers to the family of a Welling woman who disappeared two years ago.
Nazire Koreli, 56, was last seen in Welling in September 2024. Her family have now spent two years without knowing what happened to her, and this week they renewed their heartfelt appeal for help in finding her.
The Metropolitan Police investigation remains active, with detectives saying they are committed to pursuing every available line of enquiry.
Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley, who is leading the investigation, said the family continue to face the pain of not knowing what happened to Nazire. He urged anyone who knew her, or who may have seen her at any point between September 2024 and February 2025, to think back and come forward with any information they may have.
Nazire had many friends and acquaintances in the Bexley area, and officers believe someone out there could hold a vital piece of the puzzle.
Over the course of the inquiry, officers have searched her home, reviewed hundreds of hours of CCTV footage and carried out specialist searches in water near Danson Park. The case is one of several complex Met investigations to have drawn public attention — a watchdog recently cleared officers of misconduct over the Eltham Hill e-bike crash that killed a 19-year-old rider.
In March 2025, a man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the case. He was later released on bail and enquiries remain ongoing. The development was among a series of major Met investigations across east and south-east London, including the arrest of a man after a pensioner was left unconscious following a fight in Dagenham Heathway.
The new reward is being offered by the charity Crimestoppers, which will pay up to £20,000 for information that helps the investigation. The reward will stand for three months.
Alexa Loukas, Crimestoppers’ regional manager for London, said the family have now spent two years without answers and that the charity’s thoughts remain with them during an incredibly difficult time. She said Crimestoppers believes someone may know what happened to Nazire and could hold the key piece of information that investigators need.
Crimestoppers is independent of the police, and the charity says anyone passing on information to it will remain anonymous. Detectives hope the substantial reward will encourage someone who has so far stayed silent to come forward.

How you can help
Police and Crimestoppers are asking anyone with information to come forward:
- If you knew Nazire, or saw her at any time between September 2024 and February 2025, think back and get in touch — even a small detail could prove important.
- Call Crimestoppers’ 24/7 contact centre on 0800 555 111, or pass information through the charity’s website.
- Alternatively, call police on 101, quoting CAD 5678 of 28 February 2025.
Public appeals for information can prove decisive in police investigations — detectives recently released CCTV images in an appeal after a girl was sexually assaulted outside Vauxhall Tube station. Sharing the appeal for Nazire could also help it reach someone with vital information.
Detectives say they will keep pursuing every line of enquiry, and the family’s wait for answers goes on. Anyone who can help is urged to make contact today.
