Uxbridge station has reopened following a gas leak, Transport for London has confirmed, after Metropolitan line trains were suspended between Hillingdon and Uxbridge.

The station, which is served by both the Piccadilly and Metropolitan lines, shut while TfL responded to the incident. London Buses accepted tickets from affected passengers while the station was closed.

Services between Hillingdon and Uxbridge have now resumed. TfL has not yet confirmed where the leak originated.

Update: Uxbridge station has now reopened following the earlier gas leak. This live blog is now closed.
