The A204 at Tulse Hill has been closed in both directions this afternoon after a vehicle fire, with traffic queueing around the area and three bus routes diverted.

The incident was first reported at around 3.51pm today, Monday 2 November. Tulse Hill remains closed while the vehicle fire is dealt with.

The closure runs between the South Circular at Tulse Hill Gyratory and Abbess Close. Further details about the vehicle involved, or whether anyone has been injured, have not yet been confirmed.

This is a developing story. Updates will follow as more information becomes available.

Bus routes 2, 415 and 432 are being diverted because of the closure, and passengers travelling through Tulse Hill should check their journeys and allow extra time. Motorists are also facing queueing traffic around the A205 South Circular at Tulse Hill Gyratory, and drivers should avoid the affected stretch where possible and consider alternative routes.
