Eltham contestant Frankie Taber evicted from Big Brother on eve of final

Eltham contestant Frankie Taber has been evicted from Big Brother on the eve of the final, in a shock double eviction that also sent Omar El Mayer home.

Frankie, 23, a marketing manager from Eltham, left the ITV reality show on Wednesday 4 November, less than a minute after Omar was also evicted. He had made it through almost the entire series without ever being put up for eviction, alongside Lynx and Omar — until a 1920s-themed task centred around “The Mystery of the Missing Housemate” brought his run to an abrupt end.

The housemates became detectives as they attempted to solve the mystery, before Omar was revealed as the first person to be sent home through the back door. The twist was not over, however, with Frankie then revealed as the second housemate to be evicted. The double eviction came after the public vote to win was frozen ahead of the show, with eight housemates still in contention for the £100,000 prize — leaving six finalists heading into the last night.

Frankie had been in the Big Brother house since the series launched on 13 September and had wanted to appear on the programme since he was eight years old. Before entering, he predicted his personality could prove divisive, saying he did not think there were a lot of people like him, so he felt it was going to cause a bit of a divide, with some people liking him and some hating him.

He became particularly close friends with fellow housemate Yasmin, who was left in tears after not being able to say a proper goodbye to him.

One of the biggest moments of Frankie’s time in the house came just days into the series when he revealed he is bisexual. During an emotional Diary Room conversation, he said he came on the show to come out because he is bisexual and had been in pain for so long, probably about a year and a half or two years. He spoke about the guilt and shame he had been carrying and said he felt as though he had let down a lot of people — to which Big Brother reassured him: “Frankie, Big Brother doesn’t think you’ve let anyone down.”

More recently, Frankie became involved in a disagreement with Catrin after she joked about him looking at Rochelle’s feet. Catrin claimed Frankie, who had said he did not like feet, had been looking at Rochelle’s while she was doing her nails. Frankie denied it, saying his girlfriend is watching and telling her not to say such things, before leaving the hot tub.

His departure means his childhood ambition of appearing on Big Brother has ended on the penultimate day of the series, having made it through almost the entire show without previously facing eviction. Big Brother 2026 concludes on Thursday night (5 November), when the remaining housemates will compete to be crowned this year’s winner and take home the prize. The Big Brother reunion will follow on Friday (6 November), bringing this year’s housemates back together after the final.
