Friday’s Uxbridge stabbing prompted a major emergency response, with London’s Air Ambulance among the crews rushed to Uxbridge High Street near Cowley Recreation Ground.
Emergency services were called to the west London street this afternoon following reports of a stabbing close to the recreation ground in Cowley. Officers were reported on the High Street as police, paramedics and air ambulance crews responded to the incident.

Air ambulance scrambled to the scene
London’s Air Ambulance was among the emergency responders sent to the scene, dispatched at around 2.49pm. The rapid-response medics joined police and ambulance crews already in attendance on Uxbridge High Street.

News of the incident emerged in live updates shortly before 4pm on Friday, with the stabbing confirmed at 3.52pm and the air ambulance deployment reported at 3.59pm.
Police response in Uxbridge
Officers were reported on the High Street in the wake of the stabbing, with police among the emergency services in attendance. Few official details have been released so far: the condition of the person involved has not been confirmed, and police have not said whether any arrests have been made.

Knife crime in the capital
The stabbing comes amid continued concern over knife crime across London. In a separate recent case, Reece Salmon, 28, was named as the victim of a stabbing on Lloyd Baker Street in Clerkenwell, where police authorised a Section 60 stop-and-search order in response.
Section 60 orders allow officers to stop and search people without reasonable grounds within a designated area, and are among the powers police use when responding to serious violence.
Campaigners have also been pushing for life-saving bleed control kits to be made available in public places, arguing that rapid access to the equipment can save lives after stabbings and other serious injuries.
