This is a developing story — live updates are below.
The A406 North Circular in Wembley is now fully blocked after an emergency services incident, with long delays and stop-start traffic.
According to AA Maps, the road is blocked at A404 Brentfield (Harrow Road Underpass), near Stonebridge Park Station — an escalation from the single lane closure reported earlier this morning. Traffic is queueing after the incident, and congestion is running to the Neasden Interchange.
A photo taken from traffic cameras at 9.52am today shows police cars at the scene and traffic queueing on what appears to be Harrow Road. The nature of the emergency services incident has not yet been confirmed, and both the London Ambulance Service and the Metropolitan Police have been contacted for information.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time and check before travelling — the Central line is also seeing severe delays today after a signal failure at Bond Street, and weekend closures are in place on the A40 and M25.
