Three more men have been charged with the murder of 42-year-old Masum Miah, who was fatally shot in Newham last month.
Detectives investigating the killing charged the men in connection with the shooting on St Bartholomew’s Road in the early hours of Tuesday, 18 August.
Leonel Friman Intasse, 18, of High Street, Sittingbourne, was charged with murder on Wednesday, 23 September. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, 25 September.
Renars Ludins, 47, of no fixed address, was charged with murder on Saturday, 29 August. He was remanded in custody, appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court the same day, and will next appear at the Old Bailey on 17 May 2027.
Mihai Stancu, 36, of Charlton Crescent, Barking, was charged with murder on Tuesday, 8 September. He appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court the following day and was remanded in custody, with his next Old Bailey appearance also set for 17 May 2027.
The shooting
Around 3am on 18 August, police were called to St Bartholomew’s Road following reports of a shooting. Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service, but Masum Miah died as a result of his injuries.
His family continue to be supported by specially trained officers.
A fourth man, Sergiu Leahu, 40, of no fixed address, was charged with Mr Miah’s murder on 24 August and appeared before Bromley Magistrates’ Court that morning.
Appeal for witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Dan Whitten, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts remain with Masum’s family as they come to terms with his tragic death.
“We are continuing to appeal to anyone with information that could assist our enquiries to come forward.”
