Search ends in tragedy as missing Brent teenager Malachi, 16, found dead

Published at 4:19pm

The search for a missing 16-year-old boy from Brent has ended in tragedy, after his loved ones confirmed that Malachi has died.

Malachi was reported missing on Monday 2 November. He was last seen outside Saucy Flipper Fish Bar on Church Road between 5pm and 6pm that day, and his bag was reported found on the 18 bus. He was described as vulnerable due to his autism and a risk of non-epileptic seizures, and there were said to be serious concerns for his wellbeing, as he was due to attend a medical appointment.

In an update shared by his loved ones, they said it was with an unbelievably heavy heart that they shared the heartbreaking news that Malachi had passed away, asking people to hold his family and loved ones in their prayers as they face an unimaginable loss, and thanking everyone who shared the appeal and helped in the search.

No further details about where or when he was found, or the circumstances of his death, have been given at this stage.
