A man has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting in Woolwich left a victim in a critical condition.
Paul Rosser-Davies, 48, of Brewhouse Road, Greenwich, was charged on Sunday 1 November with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
The incident happened at 8.09pm on Thursday 22 October, when police were called to reports of shots fired in Frances Street, Woolwich.
Officers found a 32-year-old man in a parked car with a gunshot wound. He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
The charge follows an arrest reported last week, when a 48-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and firearm possession after the same incident. The case has now moved to the next stage, with the defendant charged.
Attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life are both serious offences that will be dealt with by the courts. The defendant has been charged, not convicted.
Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to contact police.
