Winter by the River returns to London Bridge City on 10 November

Published at 6:05am

Londoners can get into the festive spirit this November as a popular riverside Christmas market returns with independent stalls, street food and views of Tower Bridge.

Winter by the River, a winter festival beside the Thames at London Bridge City, is set to reopen on 10 November 2026. The festival runs until 3 January 2027 and operates daily from 11am to 10pm.

The festival is known for its blend of independent traders, Christmas-themed pop-ups and views across the river, making it a seasonal favourite for both locals and visitors.

The market will feature a village of boutique stalls offering handcrafted gifts. Independent traders will offer items such as Art Deco-inspired rings and chains from Linnet Jewellery, embroidered keepsakes from Luxe Christmas and hand-painted recycled glass baubles from Star Baubles.

A collection of cabins will offer a range of Christmas gifts, from teas and premium handcrafted decorations to sustainable skincare, traditional German wooden ornaments, paper art and ethically sourced crystals.

Beyond the stalls, the festival includes global street food, festive drinks, live music and Swift Stone Curling at London Bridge City Pier, alongside The Clubhouse, a two-storey pop-up bar with a heated rooftop and Thames views.

Opening hours are 11am to 10pm daily, with shorter hours on Christmas Eve (11am to 5pm) and New Year’s Eve (11am to 9pm). The site is closed on Christmas Day. Entry is free, and the nearest station is London Bridge.

Winter by the River is one of the capital’s best-loved festive markets — see our guide to London Christmas markets 2026 dates and locations for the full seasonal picture, and Christmas lights switch-on dates across London for more festive planning.
