Emergency services swarmed a road in Tower Hamlets last night following reports of a stabbing on Commercial Road.
Police blocked off both ends of Commercial Road at 8.07pm yesterday, October 20, after the alleged knife attack. A paramedic was called to the scene and treated a patient before discharging them.
According to the London Ambulance Service, the patient did not require further hospital treatment. Commercial Road remained cordoned off during the evening.
The Metropolitan Police has been approached for more information, and it is not yet known whether any arrests were made.
It was the second evening in a row that a London street was cordoned off over knife violence — a man has been charged over Saturday’s daylight stabbing on Chapter Road in Dollis Hill, and Hertford Road in Enfield was closed for a second day as police investigated Monday’s fatal pub shooting.
This is a developing story and will be updated as police release more information.
