London Tube weekend closures will affect passengers across the capital this weekend, with part closures on the District, DLR and Piccadilly lines on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September, alongside disruption to Weaver, Lioness and Windrush Overground services.
The closures are shown in Transport for London’s (TfL) latest travel status information, which was reporting the weekend’s planned works as of Friday. Replacement bus services are running where necessary to cover the line closures, and the Waterloo & City line does not operate at weekends.

Three Underground lines are partly closed on Saturday: the District line between Earl’s Court and Ealing Broadway / Richmond; the DLR, with no service between Bank / Tower Gateway and Lewisham / Canning Town, or between Stratford and Canary Wharf; and the Piccadilly line, with no service between Hyde Park Corner and Acton Town.
On the Overground, the Weaver line has no service between Hackney Downs and Cheshunt / Enfield Town on Saturday, and the Windrush line — where Surrey Quays station recently gained a step-free entrance — faces a part closure between Wandsworth Road and Clapham Junction after 11.30pm.

The District, DLR and Piccadilly part closures continue on Sunday. The Weaver line again has no service between Hackney Downs and Cheshunt / Enfield Town, the Lioness line is partly closed between Watford Junction and Willesden Junction, and the Windrush line is not running any service between Wandsworth Road and Clapham Junction.
With replacement buses covering some closures, passengers may also want to note the wider debate over the capital’s bus network, after a council urged TfL to rethink planned bus cuts in Hackney. TfL advises passengers to check its live travel status before setting out, as engineering work can change at short notice.
