Queues build on M25 near Chertsey after lane shut

Published at 12:18pm

Queues are building on the M25 near Chertsey after a lane was closed on Sunday.

The lane closure is on the M25 anticlockwise exit slip road at junction 11 near Chertsey.

According to AA Traffic News, the closure has caused queueing traffic near the A320 St Peters Way in Chertsey.

The reason for the closure has not been specified. It was first reported at around 10.45am on Sunday 1 November.

Junction 11 is a busy interchange on the south-western stretch of the London orbital motorway, serving Chertsey, Addlestone and the A320 corridor towards Woking and Guildford. A closure on the anticlockwise exit slip road here can quickly back traffic up onto the main carriageway, particularly on a Sunday when leisure and shopping traffic is heavy.

Drivers heading anticlockwise through the area are advised to check live traffic before travelling and to allow extra time.
