Central line hit by severe delays as TfL fixes Bond Street signal failure

Published at 4:33pm

Central line passengers are facing severe delays while Transport for London fixes a signal failure at Bond Street.

There are severe delays on the Central line while TfL fixes the signal failure at Bond Street. Tickets are being accepted on London Buses, London Overground, the Elizabeth line and Chiltern Railways via any reasonable route.

The disruption is not confined to the Central line. The Mildmay line is also suffering severe delays while engineers fix a points failure at Shepherd’s Bush, with London Underground accepting tickets via any reasonable route. There are minor delays on the Metropolitan line between Moor Park and Watford due to train cancellations, and minor delays on the Victoria line, also due to train cancellations.

There are also part closures elsewhere on the network: no service on the Piccadilly line between Cockfosters and Uxbridge (trains continue between Acton Town and Heathrow), no service on the Suffragette line between South Tottenham and Barking Riverside until the end of service on Tuesday 10 November, and no tram service between East Croydon and Beckenham Junction, Elmers End and New Addington until Thursday 5 November due to planned engineering work.

TfL reports good service on all other lines. Passengers are advised to check before they travel and allow extra time — and the disruption comes as Halloween weekend road closures and plans for Europe trains from Stratford International also affect travel across the capital this weekend.
