District line hit by points failure: no trains between High Street Kensington and Edgware Road

Published at 3:18pm

Passengers are facing delays on the District line due to a points failure at High Street Kensington.

No trains are running between High Street Kensington and Edgware Road, while minor delays affect the route from High Street Kensington to Wimbledon. Tickets will be accepted on London buses on any reasonable route. The rest of the District line is operating normally.

A miserable day for the Tube

The disruption adds to a grim afternoon for London’s transport network. There are also minor delays on the Victoria line after train cancellations, Central line delays following a signal failure at North Acton, and a part suspension on the Tramlink between Arena and Elmers End.

The Metropolitan line remains part suspended between Rickmansworth and Amersham/Chesham while an obstruction is removed from the track at Chalfont & Latimer.

As ever, check the TfL status page before travelling and allow extra time for your journey.
