The A1 has been partly shut after a crash on the Barnet bypass near Borehamwood, causing major congestion on Friday afternoon.
Traffic monitoring reports say the northbound carriageway of the A1 Barnet Way is partially blocked between Apex Corner, where it meets the A5109 Selvage Lane, and Stirling Corner at the A411 Barnet Road junction. Queues are building through the area, with congestion stretching back towards Mill Hill Circus.
Emergency services are attending the scene. Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and to consider alternative routes where possible.
It follows a string of disruptive incidents on major roads around the capital, including a crash that partly blocked the Dartford Crossing and slow traffic on the A3 after a crash in Kennington. M1 lanes were also stopped at Luton earlier after a police incident caused major traffic.
We will continue to update this live blog as more information comes in.
