A woman has died after becoming unwell at Kilburn underground station in north-west London on Friday morning.

Emergency services were called to the station, by Kilburn High Road and Christchurch Avenue, on 9 October after reports that a passenger needed urgent help.

The London Ambulance Service said it was called at 10.04am. Ambulance crews attended alongside a paramedic travelling in a fast response car and an incident response officer.

Crews treated the woman at the station, but she died there. The details released so far do not include her age, and no reason for her becoming unwell has been given.

The Metropolitan Police has been asked for comment. London Streets has not been told of any wider station closure in the ambulance service update, so passengers planning to use the Jubilee line through Kilburn should check live information with Transport for London before they travel.

What to do if you feel unwell on the Tube

If you start to feel faint or unwell on a train, it is usually safer to get off at the next station and alert staff or use a help point on the platform, where there is more space and quicker access for paramedics. If you see someone else in difficulty, tell a member of staff straight away or ask another passenger to do so while you stay with them.

Kilburn is a busy interchange area for local buses as well as the Jubilee line, with Kilburn High Road linking north-west London neighbourhoods including West Hampstead, Willesden and Cricklewood. Anyone who was at the station on Friday morning and has been affected by what they saw is encouraged to speak to station staff or seek support locally.
