Drivers and bus passengers in Clapton are facing disruption after a medical incident closed part of Warwick Grove. The road is shut eastbound between Upper Clapton Road and Knightland Road, with the closure first reported at around 10.14am on Wednesday 7 October 2026.

Route 393 buses are being diverted around the scene while the incident is dealt with, and motorists are being asked to avoid the area. Traffic monitoring suggests vehicles in the surrounding streets are coping well for now, though delays remain possible while the closure stays in place.

We will be updating this page throughout the day with the latest on the closure, the diversions in force and any news on when Warwick Grove is expected to reopen. This is a developing story — please check back for updates.
